Dearest friends,
Hello! How are u all doing? Hope u are well. It has been more than 3 months since I ever stepped into the haematology wards in SGH. And like my docs used to tell me...I will see u, but not in the ward yah! Yup, I still meet up with my docs for check-up every once in one-half months. Blood tests has been good, my body is stronger these days- not so easily tired or anaemic as before. Able to eat well, and basically enjoying what life has to offer in this next phase of LIFE! Thank God for renewal of my body, and especially renewal of my blood! Spiritually, I believe God has been in the work of bringing me through the path of death, burial and ressurection, and He is still working within me. Death- my old self has been put to death. Burial- my old self is buried, forgotten and I am no more a slavery to my old nature. Resurrection- Christ Jesus gives His resurrected life to dwell within me and works out His glory through me. Sometimes, I do find myself struggling in the Burial phase. Things I find difficult to fully forget and forego, fully set free from enslavement and to fully embrace the new. Sometimes I fail in forgetfulness, ingratitude, and taking things for granted. But with God's empowering help, I pray and hope that God Himself will help me to live this new Life which is in Him!
These days, I have been embracing the reality and truth on grace, to allow God to work as He wills. He does the works, I receive with thanksgiving. He gives the gift, I receive with thanksgiving. He blesses, I live a life as a testimony of His generosity and grace. He walks with me and leads me with His almighty hand, I follow and asks Him for instructions in the path to take. Lead me O Lord I ask of thee. Never forsake me nor leave me is my cry. Because where else can I go for you have the Words of eternal life! To God be the glory for ever and ever. Amen.
Take care.

He Leadeth Me
Dear friends,
How are you? Hope this message will find you well. I'm sorry for the late updates as I have been resting in M'sia these days and mostly without internet connection. Thank you all for your care and concerns which is very priceless to me.
Docs have carried out bone marrow test on 9th Feb 10, with the view that I do not need another chemo round. This will be confirmed if the test results show approx. 0% cancer cells in my bone marrow. The results will be known on 26th Feb 10, when I meet my doc for the regular check-up.
Currently, I have been in JB, M'sia, resting alot, doing lotsa reading and hoping to find a job in Johor soon. I have been keeping in contact with old friends too and also having a better bonding time with family members. God has been very gracious to me. These time of communal with people has been meaningful and fulfilling, a wonderful blessing to my soul! May the LORD continue to guide me and lead me in His path day by day, as I commit to walk with Him all the days of my life.
Take care.

God in the Midst of Storms
Dear Friends,
Thks for your prayers and concern during my difficult period last week. I had blood infection (which was probably from the food), diaohhrea , and very bad gastric. During one night, there was severe pain in my back and tummy, which caused me breathlessness. I tried to turn frantically right and left but without relief. There was vomitting also. Nurses rush to my aid but were unable to help. I just cried out 'Jesus help me! Jesus help me!' in my agony. The pain took sometime before, it subsided. Thank God for His mercy during the crisis. Thereafter, my blood pressure and heart rate became very low. Though I still had fever and chills for the next few days, all were calm again. To me, it was like a Big storm that has passed, and I am safely through with my LORD. Praise the LORD!
Now my condition is stable and I feel a brand new person, physically and spiritually. God's promise never to leave nor forsake me is assured. My life is in His hands, just a simple cry for help, He was there in the crisis. Infact He has always been here beside me, behind me, ahead of me, and I am much more grateful that He is within me. Storm in life? Take heart dear friends, let the LORD sail us through safely and victoriously. Just look to Jesus for salvation.
To God be the glory forever and ever more. Amen.
Take care.

Dear friends,
Hi, how have you been? Today, I thank the LORD for good news, answered prayers and words of comfort.
Doc met up today with the bone marrow results. There are no cancer cells shown in 2 tests, whereas 1 test shows less than 1% cancer cells. Then again he mentioned it could be new cells growing to maturity. Should there be residual cancer cells i.e. the less than 1% shown - these cells will just die off naturally in due time. And there is mention that this 5th round of treatment will be my last round, no bone marrow transplant required. Praise the LORD! It is great news.
It has been a long and tiring journey. At times very despairing, very fearful and discouraging. But the love of God is steadfast, He is faithful and His mercies are new every morning. Pls pray that I will dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life. Immersing in His life, and He in mine. It will be the greatest gift ever, the best gift I could receive this Christmas.
Thanks God for uncle Alex who has been encouraging to me through this journey. Thank God also for Xiao Yen, my close childhood friend, who has been a pillar of support to me too. May the LORD Jesus Christ bless you abundantly and keep you in His love always!
Take care.

He is my Provider
Dear friends,
Hello.. it's been good to write to you again to update on my condition. The blood count is better, but require a longer recovery period. As such, my next doc appointment is mon, 30 Nov. Doc has not decided if I would start the 5th round of chemo on that day. But he gave a positive prognosis that I do not need bone marrow transplant. This will, of course, be confirmed when I have my bone marrow tested sometime next week.
Pls continue to pray for complete recovery, with or without transplant. Pls pray also for my care-givers, especially family members who have journeyed with me all along. They may have riden a rougher patch than me during this difficult and tiresome journey. Thk God for sustaining them along the way.
Thk God for close friends who have showed care and concern. Some have lavished love gifts; from my dad's cell group in Johor Bahru and from friends in Adam Rd Presbyterian Center. Relatives also care ceaselessly and give lovingly.
God has met all our needs during this trying period. Pls pray for continual dependence on Him who provides and supply all my needs. Now unto Him who is able to keep you from falling, be all glory, power and dominion. Amen.
Take care.
