Thank God for his blessings today - Wed 1st July 2009
He is feeling better today with much less side effects.
Plus the good news from the Haematology specialist that Kenneth does not need a bone marrow transplant and that he requires 5 cycles of chemo not the 6 cycles that were the original plan.
Do keep praying for Kenneth's strength at this time and for God's great healing for our brother.

Update on Monday June 29th 2009
Kenneth has been on Chemo for 3 days now and has been feeling weak from it along with stomach pains and nausea.
Am thankful that he could sleep at night in spite of this.
Do keep praying for strength to continue this Chemo which has 4 more days for this first cycle. He expects to be in hospital for a month after this cycle before being allowed 2 weeks home leave.
May God give strength and comfort to Kenneth in this time of great need.
In Christ,
Kevin
Update on Thurs June 25th 2009
I'm happy to report that the tests results show that Kenneth has a mixed M1 / M2 type AML ( Leukemia ) which with Chemo has an above average chance of successful cure.
Praise God for that!
As for his condition, I thank God that Kenneth is looking stronger today and his face is less pale. He has also been encouraged that tests have shown that he has healthy lungs, kidneys and liver. And so is fit to undergo the chemo.
Kenneth will then be starting chemo on Friday June 26th. So do pray for his strength and to be constantly sustained by the Lord during this first Chemo treatment that lasts for a full 7 days. Do pray as well for him to have a peaceful heart during this time of severe illness.
In Christ,
Kevin Kwok

From Oleania ( Kenneth's Sis in Law)
Kenneth is diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia and is currently warded in Singapore General Hospital.
Today he should be taking some blood/bone marrow samples.
After the lab results (probably within this week) he will be advised on the chemo program to go through.
Do continue to pray for Kenneth as he is disheartened with his outlook of his condition.
Pray that we continue to look to the Lord for strength and faith, our Lord our Healer.
It is indeed a taunting time for the family members so do pray for strength (especially for my parents-in-law) to keep themselves healthy and mentally strong to walk through this period together with Kenneth.
Understand that some of Kenneth's friends have expressed interest in visiting him in the hospital.
However due to the visitor restrictions in SGH due to the recent H1N1, only a few nominated are allowed into the ward, and only a couple can visit him at any one time.
Would really appreciate the support from his DG as I believe he really hopes for church members (in JB and ARPC) to pray for his recovery... With the visit restrictions so much fewer could visit him... would really want to encourage him that his friends and church members are praying for him even if they couldn't visit him.
Thanks in advance for your help.
